Getting to know you!

Hello again families! This week I wanted to focus on getting to know more about the students! We have talked a little bit in class about culture and the Globe, but I want to know more about your family history! It was exciting to see the students curious about where they came from and what makes them unique. For this weeks assignment, I would like you to help you son/daughter answer the following questions... Where did your ancestors originate from? What holidays do you and your family celebrate? Are their any special foods your family makes? Also, be sure to print them out as will be sharing with the class next week!  Map Pages!

Hello families! This week in class the students learned about ocean animals! We took time to discuss different animals like whales and sharks, and compare it to animals we see on land. The class had so much fun talking about their favorite animals and if they have seen any before. For this weeks assignment I would like you to discuss with your daughter/son the following questions.  What animals would you find in a coral reef? Do animals in the ocean work together or alone to survive? What ocean animals might you see if you were to travel to the beach? Image found from http://rajaampatbiodiversity.com/en/sea-turtle-biology/ I have attached below a link to some fun coloring pages for the children to color to help them learn more ocean animals!  Ocean Animals!

Hello Everyone! I am Alli Berry, but your children know me better as Miss Berry! I am a kindergarten teacher at Pleasant Valley Elementary school. I am creating this blog for the parents in my classroom to be able to access resources that will be helpful for their children, and allow them to learn outside the classroom! There will be class updates, links to helpful websites, and other calendar events coming up! Feel free to post any questions or comments you have for me. I will try my best to respond to you as soon as possible! I try to check the blog a couple times a week, but if you need to contact me directly my email is aberry28@kent.edu, which I am able to check right away! I am excited to get to know and teach your children in my class this year!
